My monthly "still alive" post. Gig at a roller rink soon. My cat is pregnant. Need a new place. I'm actually quite sober and driving an hour to work each day. Argh. Who wants kitties?

While we're busy working on the new shit, I've been searching to see if we've been borrowed for YouTube appearances. We were recently featured in a video called VietnamTour3of3 that uses Poncho Goes Berserker as a soundtrack for hackysack and kickboxing.
The other interesting video uses my music for some Pokemon strategy video with some entertaining sarcastic commentary. My music fits Pokemon at double speed quite well - here is Marriland's Pokemon Adventure - Part 7.
Also, feel free to check out Gabriel's Nerdcore News videos and Frankie Castle's Ill Guerilla which uses my beats.
In some lesser news though, we've pulled out of Trainwreck Five since it's a 15-minute gig all the way in Dallas. Shows in Denton soon, hopefully this summer.

We just finished a two-hour improvisational recording session with long-time ally CultFunkHero and it sounds tasty. We'll have mp3's after some editing and mixing and additions and whatnot. We've also got a gig at Trainwreck Five - we'll have a date once it's confirmed.

Things are going well. Just dumped 650 on a new laptop today so I can finally get with the times and ditch the old CPU I've been with for the past seven years. I assure you that new material is on the way, we just have ... well ... lives right now outside of music that must be attended to. Oh, and I have nipple rings now. New recording session with CultFunkHero coming in March. Kisses.

Holy shit, are we back! It's been a long time since we posted, but I assure you Oddioblender has been alive and well and dealing with a lot of different things. So, where have we been?
First off, I (Gustuf) now live in Denton, so most of our gigs will likely occur in or around that area. I spent the last few months moving as well as working since I recently got promoted at a retail store and it was holidays. Retail + holidays = ass sucking. However, we've all been busy with music and are working on an assload of material that we'll hopefully be putting out there sometime this year.
Secondly, Axelord recently made a baby that will likely be the end of this planet - and it's adorable. Her name is Cami and she will eat your face. No, you don't get pictures. But be assured that the Axelord is happy and doing fatherly things in between guitar murdering sessions.
Thirdly, we have a new member - Sparky the percussionist and token minority presence. We've been told our drums need definition, so we have a man who plays bongos, congas, djembes, doumbeks and marimbas to give ourselves some flava - note, that's "Flava" and not the commonly used and uncool "flavor."
Fourthly, I have a new e-mail address. It's on the Contact link and you can also say hello here: HELLO!
Anyways, thanks to all who've been listening - there's apparently more than I initially thought. Gigs and new songs soon. I promise.
Kisses, BITCH!

We just finished our umpteenth Dreamworld show and managed to get both video footage and some new photos. We'll have those up shortly. We also have a new PA system so we can be booked for performances at venues without such equipment - yay! Anyways, fun stuff and possibly some new recordings coming soon. Keep you posted. See you on Halloween. We'll be relocating to Denton soon, so if you're from Denton and feel like booking us for an event there, we'll be quite available come November.

We'll be putting money into new equipment soon to make our shows sound better, thanks to some cash flow coming soon and help from some friends. Other new stuff includes photos from our last live show (me and Axelord in the same photo - it's a miracle!), as well as a new live EP up for download and an upcoming second round Battle of Bands coming to Dreamworld. Be there so we don't lose. I'd like that. Thanks.

Well, I'm back. Going to be performing at Club Dada in Dallas on August 21st - more on this when the roster is concrete. Monroe has finally gotten out of jail, and
we're back in business. Also, Oddioblender beats appear on the phat new album by Frankie Castle, called License to Ill Gorilla. Give him love.
I've also put up a
live bootleg from our Dreamworld show in May. Enjoy.

I'm pulling out of Nerdapalooza - I've been looking in to getting to Florida and it's really more trouble for me than I expected. My apologies to the promoters, and anyone in Florida who was anticipating my arrival.
Sunday, May 19, 2007
Well, Axelord is currently in jail for a probation violation, so at the moment I'm solo once again. However, two new shows are coming soon, this time actually outside of Texas, including a show in Florida and the Nerdapalooza Festival.
In other news, I have new work to share with you - the new Zio Magus album is now up, so go have a listen if you've got a strong nerve. I also had three poems published in Marine Creek Reflections' latest volume, Visions and Dreams (look for Gustuf Young). The CD contained with it also features two Zio Magus tracks, but released under my real name.

We didn't win the battle of the bands this past show, but we'll back at Dreamworld in June and plus, we got some mp3s up of the live show. They're at the MySpace page. Peace.

Frankie Castle recently created a video for the song "Ill Gorilla," which uses a track from 8-Bit Breakcore Action! Check the video out HERE and curse YouTube for reducing the picture quality.

Things are going well in Oddio-Land. Expect some cameos in beat form on upcoming N.C.-M.C.'s releases, and be sure to check out MC Wreckshin's new album, Nerdcore Supervillain. In addition, our song "Frantic Footsteps" was recently used in a very interesting podcast at Finding Japan, so check it out and show love. Also, for those in DFW, you need to come our live show on May 5th. Seriously. It's Cince de Mayo and I know you've got nothing better to do. :)

Shame to whoever missed the show, for it was awesome. Thanks to Total Vengeance for letting us borrow an amp cord.
Wednesday, March 14, 2007
New electronic tracks are up at MySpace, as well as two bonus tracks Here and Hurrr.
Wednesday, March 07, 2007
I've decided to stop writing hip-hop and focus specifically on electronic music. Sorry if that disappoints anyone. If you're a rapper who would like beats, feel free to contact me. I'm working on a new electronic album, hopefully a very long one. Cheers.

New Oddioblender track is on Rhyme Torrents Volume 6. Enjoy.
Friday, February 16, 2007
MC Wreckshin will be using some Oddioblender music for his rhymes on his upcoming album, Nerdcore Supervillain. You can learn more about this work, due April 1st, at this location.

Happy Everything Sucks Day to everyone. Some news here for you. "You Are All Replaceable" was recently featured on Xltronic Vibes Volume 20. Along with this, there is also a new hip-hop track to appear on Rhyme Torrents Volume 6 featuring a mix of Clockwork Orange and Silent Hill 4. Live performances are in planning stages, as I have found someone who is interested in being a hype man. There are also some ambient experimental tracks available on the Planetarium release, Candle-Powered Music Box. Look for an Oddioblender article in an upcoming college newspaper, courtesy of Aural Incline. Peace.

The first news post of the New Year, but it's not the best of news. GDTK is currently shut down due to some drama beyond the owner's control, so there's probably some delay in the distribution of my releases there. If anything, I'll send money to Nigel and waive whatever money I'd make off the albums so that they can get to you, if you've ordered one. I'm also thinking of starting my own DIY label, and possibly even putting out a data disc that features most of my music, for about 2 or 3 bucks, for those who don't have hours or a broadband connection with which to download my catalog. But if you haven't heard it yet, there's a new song called "Nerdcore Woman" on my MySpace page. Feel free to check it out.

More stuff out of Planetarium Records today. The release in question is the new Altrock album, which has been underway for almost two years. It was created by me and Chris M (also known as Sick to the Back Teeth) through exchange of sound files and is our second album in this experimental rock style. You can download it, free with cover art, at this location. Cheers.
In other news, Kublai Khan has made more press, this time in a college newspaper. Observe.
Wednesday, December 06, 2006
Some new tracks of mine are now featured on the new Candle-Powered Music Box compilation, with both being made from household sounds. The album is featured on the new and improved Planetarium Records webpage.

It's cold as hell and wet outside, likely to freeze. So, MC Router calls me, and lo and behold, there's an article about us in Fort Worth Weekly. Enjoy.

An Oddioblender interview with Nerdcore News is now online. You can view the interview (look at me, busting rhymes in the update) here.

At long last, Oddioblender.com is back online. The discography is complete, along with the new album that was released on GDTK - or, the information on it at least. If you want it, you need to go to Give Daddy the Knife and pay Nigel Shields his money. That man needs a Nintendo DS so I can beat his ass at Tetris. Oh, and Oddioblender t-shirts are now available courtesy of Benjamin Bear.
In other good news, two new Zio Magus albums are coming - "Catharsis" and "Head Like a Wasteland." The former is a 40-minute album of live ambient keyboard, while the latter is more of the dark, nightmarish ambient work that I usually do under the persona. These are also the first albums I will have mastered by someone else. Hopefully, they'll be ready by year's end.
I also am in a band now called The Chud Baldwin Experience. We are currently in the progress of recording an EP - check out our Clone Love song on MySpace. More is coming soon - I think the nerdcore and Mr. Bungle fans will enjoy it immensely.
8-Bit Breakcore Action! currently has 900 downloads on Lacedmilk alone, and who knows how many here and on Rhyme Torrents. That makes it my most popular album. Soooooooo, if you haven't heard, you can go download it HERE or at Rhyme Torrents.
Lots of collabs in the pipeline with several nerdcore artists, possibly for future Rhyme Torrents, and some for other people's albums, which is a first for me. I'm outsourcing a lot lately. Also, look for an interview with me and Gabriel on his nerdcore newscast coming up soon. I'll be posting it here and likely on the MySpace as well.
But anyways - Buy the album! csjmospcsopepdcpockvcblah!
